Short version: the software has no telemetry, your credentials never leave your machine, and your files never touch our servers.

1. Who We Are

FTP to FTP File Transfer is a brand and product of Desire Div ("Desire Div", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the FTP to FTP File Transfer software ("Software") and the website portal.ftptoftp.com ("Website"), and how we use it.

2. Data Collected by the Software

The Software is designed to collect as little as possible:

  • No telemetry. The Software does not send usage statistics, analytics, crash reports, or any other data to us or to third parties.
  • Credentials stay local. FTP server credentials and saved connection profiles are stored only on your computer, in a local file (~/.ftp2ftp_profiles.json). They are never transmitted to us.
  • Your files never touch our servers. Transfers run over your own internet connection directly between your machine and your FTP servers. We operate no relay or cloud service and cannot see your files or passwords.

3. Data Collected by the Website

  • Contact form. If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and provide support.
  • Purchase information. When you buy a licence, payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive the information needed to issue and manage your licence (such as your name and email address). We do not store your full card details.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Third-party resources. The Website loads Bootstrap and Bootstrap Icons from the jsDelivr CDN and fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests these files directly from those providers, which means they receive your IP address as part of the normal request. Their own privacy policies apply to those requests.

4. Cookies

The Website does not set tracking or advertising cookies and does not use behavioural analytics.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and manage your licence
  • To respond to support requests and bug reports
  • To send important service information about your licence (we do not send marketing email unless you opt in)
  • To keep the Website and our services secure

6. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers necessary to run the business (such as our payment processor and email provider), or where required by law.

7. Data Retention

We keep licence and purchase records for as long as needed to manage your licence and meet legal obligations (such as tax record-keeping). Support emails are kept as long as useful for providing you support, after which they may be deleted.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@ftptoftp.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children

The Software and Website are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the "Last updated" date shown above.
